Building a three-dimensional model of the workspace of an industrial robot

Abstract: The solution for the problem of forming a model of the workspace of an industrial robot using stereovideo is proposed. The sequence of the image processing is described. The steps for image pre-processing and shaping a three-dimensional model of the workspace for an industrial robot are highlighted. The basic stages of image processing are investigated. An example of stereo pair imaging with the goal to obtain a three-dimensional model of the workspace of an industrial robot is given.
