Abstract: In the research we simulated a microstrip line with polygons on different layers. We calculated the characteristic impedance and the delay per unit length of the line. It is observed that the polygons reduce impedance characteristic up to several percent for considered structure. It is revealed that polygon on top layer reduces the delay, while the polygon on middle and bottom layers increases the delay.
