Abstract: The nonlinear problem of calculation the GSM-standard base stations’ coverage area based on the linearization of Newton-Raphson nonlinear systems of algebraic equations has been stated. The nonlinear least squares method algorithm of its solving has been offered. The estimation of the efficiency of an offered method in solving problems with network planning and optimization has been made.
