Annotation: The results of experimental investigations of dynamics of photoinduced light absorption in undoped bismuth silicon (Bi 12 SiO 20 ) and bismuth titanium oxide (Bi 12 TiO 20 ) crystals, which are exposed to picosecond laser pulse radiation at the wavelength λ = 532 nm, are presented. The observed dependences of the light-induced absorption evolution are interpreted within the framework of the impurity absorption model taking into account presence of two kinds of deep centres in the crystal band gap.
