Abstract: Circularly polarized eigenfields and plane waves are considered in a bi-isotropic Tellegen medium. The nonreciprocity of such homogeneous and unbounded medium is shown as a result of comparison between freely propagating electromagnetic Beltrami fields in initial and conjugate Tellegen media. It is appeared as a nonorthogonality measure of the electric and magnetic plane-wave fields in such a medium.
