Analysis of crime factors with hybrid cognitive maps

Abstract: A hybrid cognitive map has been created to assess the socioeconomic factors of crime and their relationships based on statistical data. The current state and change dynamics of every selected factor for each region of Russia were assessed with linguistic terms using fuzzy logic. Regression analysis was used to assess the impact that the factors have on each other. The resulting model can be used for diagnostics or comparative analysis, an example is given that compares crime rates in different federal districts.
