Abstract: It is shown and proved the structure of a digital number square, pointed out properties of this square. There are shown ways of a number square root approximate value calculation without using a computer. It is shown that in the worst cases (rather rare) the relative error is less than ten percents. Usually much less. There are shown ways of the digital part of a number square root calculation, based on the performed investigation and also the possible continuation of the research.
