Abstract: The paper considers a methodology for analyzing and mitigat-ing the root causes of operational disruptions in production pro-cesses. The core of this methodology is the use of causal Bayes-ian networks (CBNs). The structural and logical framework of the methodology is presented, as well as its main stages. An algorithm is provided for constructing a CBN based on the anal-ysis of production processes within a chemical industry hold-ing. The paper offers recommendations for implementing the methodology to enhance production performance.
