Annotation: This paper describes methodology of active gravity compensation system effectiveness evaluation during deployment process of large-sized umbrella-type reflector antenna (up to 12 meters in diameter) at ground tests of mechanical devices, which allows to simulate their weightlessness. Basic principle of this method is to evaluate the amount of energy usage for an opening drive relative to deployment process uncertainties in gravity compensation of reflector antenna spokes.

Keywords: reflector antennas, ground testing, mechanical devices, stand with active weightlessness system, mechanism for nominating mast drive disclosure, relative energy consumption
