Questions of resolving ability of phase direction finder with antenna system in the form of linear array

Annotation: The multiple-base phase direction finders with antenna systems in the form of linear array are considered, in which the elimination of the ambiguity of phase measurements and the bearing estimation are carried out by the «summation of cosine» method. It is shown that such direction finders have angular resolving power corresponding to the Rayleigh criterion. The reason for the suppression of a weak signal is found to be stronger during processing.
