Abstract: The article describes the method of detecting water objects from multispectral satellite measurements with the Landsat-8 instrument. The detection is based on a comparative analysis of the values of the water indices NDWI, MNDWI, NDMI, WRI, NDVI and AWEI. The description of the results for processing real images of the Tomsk region territories is provided.
