Abstract: Based on planar near-field measurements of amplitude-phase distribution, a study of scan step size increment influence on antenna pattern reconstruction accuracy was performed using the example of a Ka-band elliptically polarized axisymmetric dual-reflector satellite onboard antenna. It is shown that on the basis of required angle of antenna pattern reconstruction, the recommended scan step can be incremented without degradation of pattern reconstruction accuracy and with proportional measurement time decrease. It was also discovered that theoretical estimates were not sufficiently consistent with practical results. The measurements were taken inside an anechoic chamber.
