Abstract: The paper deals with the matters of simulating physics-and-technics hybrid systems in the multilevel modeling environment MARS. This study gives a comparison of a straight algorithmic approach suggested by the language of modeling algorithmic constructions (MAC-language) of MARS and using statecharts for modeling hybrid systems. This paper gives the rationale for interpretation of the statechart diagram into MAC-language of MARS and describes the component «State» developed for modeling discrete dynamic behavior of a system in MARS.
