Annotation: In the article we propose an idea of the relevance of joint tests on climatic and electromagnetic effects of electronic equipment used in harsh environments. Collected research data proves practicability of such tests. Possible mechanisms of natural and artificial electromagnetic interference in the northern latitudes are considered. The amplitude spectrum of the output voltage at temperatures of –60, +25, +200 °С is calculated on a simple example of the 1 MHz harmonic excitation of 1N4148 diode. The change of the amplitude up to 3 times is shown. The radiation pattern and levels of field strength radiated by dipole when excited by these amplitudes are presented. Radiation maximum at the third harmonic is revealed at a diod temperature of +200 °С.
