Annotation: This work is devoted to the application of digital modeling methods for analyzing changes in the characteristics of a space-craft’s solar array during its operation. The paper describes the creation of a solar array model using modern modeling tools, consideration of the specific aspects of functioning in outer space. A method is provided for calculating the illumination of solar panel surfaces for any near-Earth orbit based on their Keplerian parameters. To verify the model, simulation outputs are compared with telemetry data from solar arrays operating on real spacecrafts. Special attention is given to practical recom-mendations for applying the model at the design stage and dur-ing ground testing.
