Universal method to calculate the Utilization Factor for luminous flux of lighting devices

Abstract: A universal method to calculate the utilization factor of luminous flux and to evaluate the efficiency of light distribution of lighting devices both for indoor and outdoor lighting has been developed. The analytical expressions for the dependence of light flux utilization factor on room index are obtained. A block diagram of the measuring optoelectronic complex is proposed that calculates this factor when examining lighting installations. A lighting calculator has been developed on the basis of the developed method.
