Abstract: A new model for the introduction of elements of robotics in the school educational process. We consider the important task of school robotics program by creating an elective course on designing and programming robots based on the set of Lego Mindstorms NXT 2.0. An example of the program elective course on designing and programming robots based on the set of Lego Mindstorms NXT 2.0 first year. The peculiarities of the use of project-based, method, portfolios, mutual learning method, the modular method and the method of problembased learning in teaching robotics to children.
