Calculation of the resistance and inductance of a shielded three-phase busbar

Annotation: There are described the methods of calculating the resistance and inductance of the shielded three-phase busbar with the skin effect, proximity effect, frequency sinusoidal current, tire material and screen influence. Formulas are derived from the equations of the electromagnetic field, and automated engineering calculations can be preprogrammed, for example, in Mathcad. The accuracy of the technique is confirmed in satisfactory coincidence of the calculated results with those obtained by aid of computer simulation program «Elcut».
