Monte Carlo simulation of elastic and inelastic scattering of an electron beam in gas

Abstract: A software for Monte Carlo simulation of elastic and inelastic scattering of a monoenergetic electron beam with energy from 2 to 10 keV in gas is described in this article. This program is designed to build electron trajectories in gas, to calculate the linear density of electron current and to show the spectra of electron energy after inelastic interactions with gas molecules. The results of the simulation allow us to describe with high efficiency the elastic and inelastic collisions of an electron with gas.
