Abstract: In the paper we present the results of investigation of sintering ceramics by electron beam generated by plasma source of electrons in the fore-vacuum pressure range. Deduced from experiments that the use of the electron beam for sintering of ceramics does not change the phase composition of the sintered zirconia ceramics, and the content of low-temperature phase after treatment does not exceed the limit of resolution of the method (3%). Non-uniformity properties of sintered samples irradiated by electron beam can be used for the production of functionally graded ceramic materials with smoothly varying the volume porosity and the magnitude of the structural elements.
