Abstract: The results of investigations of planar optical waveguides created by high-temperature diffusion of Zinc oxide films in the substrates of Y-and X-cut lithium niobate are presented. The shaped waveguide structures Zn: LiNbO 3 have been used for the synthesis of these planar domain gratings by direct electron-beam irradiation of the substrate. The characteristics of the gratings have been determined as a result of the second-harmonic generation on the gratings. By method of optical second harmonic generation on these lattices are evaluated by their performance.
