Abstract: The article describes the methods of complexity index evaluation of time-dependent data sequences. The comparative analysis of the time-dependent data sequences’ complexity index has been performed in the terms of their applicability to the problems of automated control systems in the metallurgical facilities. The model time sequences and full-scale time-dependent data sequences, which represent the metallurgical processes dynamics, are used as initial conditions.
