Abstract: It is shown that the model, which well represents the baseband signal transformation by a diode, leads to considerably larger error while modeling the nonlinearity characteristic of the transformation of baseband signals (both at a deviation of model parameters from true and if model parameters correspond to parameters of the chosen example of a diode). The reasons of the given error, the possibility of its decrease and useful application are discussed.
