Abstract: The dimensional effect influence on the effective magnetic permeability of a particle up to nanometer- size area is considered. It is shown that when the active magnetic phase particles reach nanosize region, we need to correct formulas of a composite mixture with taking into account the dimensional effect. A possibility to evaluate surface layer thickness of a nanosize hexaferrite particle by the radiophysical method is analyzed. The evaluation is carried out by comparison of the experimental results and calculations of the effective magnetic permeability for different values of the surface thickness.
