Abstract: Mastering the educational program within the framework of the «subject study – testing and exams» strategy is not a problem for the bigger part of students. Another thing is their further development, when the share of independent individual work and the search for creative solutions increases at the stage where they are supposed to acquire research competencies. This is a complex process, and not all students have enough motivation to successfully complete it. The article discusses the ideas of stimulating such students to study.
