Use of orthogonal linearly polarized signals in a dual channel board UHF radio beacon landing navigation systems

Abstract: The signals of two spatially-separated sources can be used to evaluate the bearing and the roll angle of mobile object if these signals have the same frequency and mutually orthogonal linear polarization. The appropriate method of amplitude-phase processing of such signals through dual-channel receiver on board the mobile object in the linear polarization basis is investigated below.
