Abstract: The article presents a method to set a switching mode for power switches applied in the pulse converters with LCD-snubbers which uses the snubber circuit factor, that allows to analyze the efficiency of switching converters operation, from the mode with «hard» switching to the quasi-resonant mode with a «soft» switching. The analysis of the switching mode effect on the losses of power in the core elements of converter with combined structure is performed using the snubber circuit factor.
