Abstract: The article deals with the approach of the determination of numeral meaning of the general information index, based on the logical-linguistic model for assessment of properties, that characterize this index. Moreover, the method of pairwise comparisons, that is used to determine the numeral meaning of the importance coefficients of these properties is described.
