Abstract: This paper provides a review of quality metrics and algorithms for classifying ground objects on radar images. The principles of radar image formation are briefly outlined. Suitable metrics for binary and multi-class classification of objects on a radar image are determined. The computational costs of the classifi-cation algorithms are calculated. The most appropriate algo-rithms for solving the problem of classifying ground objects on radar images are determined.
