Technique for automated synthesis of scaled models of passive MMIC-components

Abstract: А technique for constructing scaled models of passive MMIC-components (resistors, capacitors, inductors, etc.) in the form of equivalent circuits (ECs) is presented. In such models, the elements of EC depend on constructive parameters (e.g., sizes, etc.) of component. The technique allows the automate the search of EC schematic as well as the determination of optimal degrees of approximating polynomials for each constructive parameter. As an example, the synthesis of scaled model of MDM-capacitor produced using 0.15 μm GaAs pHEMT-process is presented.
