Abstract: The paper discusses the results of a study of methods of indirect measurement of the flow of the pumped pumping units (PU) of the liquid based on the use of their pressure characteristics. The experimental results of indirect methods are given based on the approximation of the pressure characteristics on algebraic polynomials of 2nd and 3rd order to illustrate their efficiency and suitability for applications retrospective estimation of the coefficients of polynomials approximating pressure characteristics on. The relative error of indirect measurement of the flow of the pumped liquid using these polynomials is given.
