Combined algorithm for navigation data display in high-loaded web-oriented passenger information sys- tems

Annotation: Different approaches to solving the problem of optimal navigation data display in high-loaded web-based passenger information systems are reviewed in the article. Combined algorithm which takes passenger information systems specifics into account is suggested. It is proposed to use the principle of push-notifications to deliver the updated navigation data to the client, taking into account the current map extent and zoom level for each user, as well as transmit position of the vehicle in the form of their relative position in its route. Described approaches are compared according to several criteria.
