Abstract: The paper presents the results of the investigation of polyethylene and polycarbonate surface modification with pulsed electron beam with energy of 10 keV in the fore-vacuum pressure range 5–10 Pa. The character and the degree of the surface layer modifications vary according to the radiation dose. The average size of the irregularities dropped from 1 μm in the initial material to 0,5 μm in the treated material. There is a difference in the water wettability of the irradiated and non-irradiated materials.
