Abstract: This paper presents the expression of energy balance power supply system with a power regulator on the basis of the matrix converter current solar cell is presented. This expression allows to calculate the area of the solar cell, which is necessary for performing the energy balance at the given light and power load patterns. Thus the determined size of the solar battery allows to calculate energy efficiency ratio of power supply system and compare it to the power supply systems based on other structures.
