Scattering matrix representation of the medium containing hydrometeors

Abstract: The issue of the scattering matrix representation determination for the radar sensing of the medium filled with hydrometeors is considered. An approach for the estimation of the medium influence on radar signal polarization structure has been offered. The approach based on the scattering matrix parameter depending upon the differential attenuation and differential phase shift. The feature of such approach is calculation ratios for the module and phase values determination of mentioned parameter.
