Modern trends in development of methods and means for information protection

Annotation: In this article authors present the results related to the various aspects of fundamental or applied scientific research and the implementation of production tasks that are made by the research team of TUSUR Institute of System Integration and Security. An integrated approach to the information security is considered in detail that allowed to conduct research on the development of methods for assessing the security of information systems. The article contains the main achievements of the scientific group, related to fundamental research and program implementations that aimed to improve the quality of the following mechanisms of security: biometric user authentication; encryption; secure transmission and authentication of digital objects; identification of the elements' authenticity in automated process control systems, and development of secure communication channels for the information transfer.
