Abstract: This article discusses the impact of intra-compression on the resolution of the image. The results obtained in the evaluation of the image distortion introduced after applying compression algorithms based on the discrete cosine transform and discrete wavelet by parameters such as peak signal / noise ratio, standard deviation and resolution.
