Abstract: The methods of calculating the waveguide transformer, showing the basic principles of the design of the device, which is part of the frequency-polarization selector of the feed reflector antennas or global horn antennas are presented. A comparative analysis of the calculation of modes distributed in the transformer by the analytical method and simulation in CST Mi- crowave Studio is carried out. The developed method of suppressing the influence of higher order modes, resulting in a larger diameter of waveguide is described.
