Matrix description for transformation of individual photons quantum states in sequence of unbalanced Mach-Zehnder interferometers

Abstract: A matrix model describing the system of several unbalanced Mach-Zehnder interferometers (MZI) used for forming and measuring time-bin qubit as superposition of time-shifted states of a single photon in output ports of system has been proposed. A quantum channel effect on time-bin qubit structure has been studied.
