Abstract: Relevance. The identification of the physical nature and mechanisms of internal structural changes in amorphous metal alloys under infrasound exposure is of considerable scientific interest. Purpose of the study. The aim of this study is to formulate a mathematical model describing the effect of thermomechanical loading on nonequilibrium structural transitions in amorphous metal alloys subjected to infrasound exposure. Methods. To simulate the effect of thermomechanical loading on structural transitions, the method of kinetic equations was employed for the transformation parameter, temperature, and mechanical stress. The system of kinetic equations was discretized using the finite difference method, and numerical calculations were performed for benchmark model problems. Scientific novelty. This work presents a novel model of the effect of thermomechanical loading on changes in the internal structure of amorphous alloys. Results. A mathematical model (a system of kinetic equations) and numerical calculations using the finite difference method reveal the physical mechanisms, causes, and conditions of the sequence of structural transitions and explain the experimentally obtained pattern of changes in the internal structure of a material under infrasound action. Rules for changing the states of a cellular automaton in a cellular automaton model. Practical significance. The findings contribute new insights into the physical nature of internal structural transformation processes in materials subjected to thermomechanical loading. These results can be used in electronics and materials science to improve existing devices and materials, as well as for the development of novel ones. The state transition rules of the cellular automaton can be extended to the study of nonequilibrium structural transitions in amorphous metallic alloys, thereby advancing the cellular automaton method in this domain.
