Crosstalk suppression system in multi-wire communica-tion lines with signal encoding and decoding

Annotation: It is proved that the transmission matrix of any multi-wire communication line can be represented as a product of three matrices: transverse wave mode converter, uncoupled transmis-sion lines, and inverse matrix of the transverse wave mode converter. The analysis showed that the matrix of the transverse wave mode converter is an M-matrix or a Hadamard matrix. This made it possible to generalize the methods of crosstalk suppression and the methods of encoding and decoding signals by connecting a multi-wire communication line to sources/receivers through an electromagnetic wave mode con-verter, implemented, for example, on transformers. As a result, each subscriber transmits/receives signals only on its own mode type. This ensures reliable data transmission and protection from crosstalk. The devices of mode converters are described; calculations and experimental results for symmetrical multi-wire communication lines are given.
