Abstract: The paper presents the description of the optical precipitation gauge that is based on the principle of the obtaining and analyzing precipitation particle shadow images. System is developed to eliminate the noise caused by the presence of moisture on surfaces of the device optical windows. The solution is based on the use of electric systems for surface heating of the optical windows that are controlled by specially developed algorithm. The implementation of heating system is described.
