Abstract: The article gives an analysis of the polarization distortions of the side lobe signal of the X-band radar for the «Earth-satellite» path. The numerical simulation results and the analysis of polarization diagram of a parabolic reflector antenna of the terrestrial radar are given. The influence of the Earth atmosphere on the signal polarization is considered. The results can be used to develop passive space-based radio-monitoring systems.
