Abstract: In the article we describe the usage of a mobile device «Aquasensor» based on the irregular microstrip resonator for measurement of soil humidity. There are given the results of test measurements on the modeling ground – quartz sand. The conversion of bound moisture in sand to free water is accurately defined. The results correspond to the results received by other scientists.
