Abstract: The paper presents scientific and methodological tools for the functional structure synthesis of singlemodal and multimodal subscriber terminals of polymodal infocommunication systems, including a redundance. For the optimal choice of software and hardware implementation of these structures it is useful to use the generalized index which takes into account the technical characteristics, cost and technical compatibility of functional elements.
