Abstract: investigated. It is shown that the lifetime of the lines of multiplets is ~ 500 ns. Doublet of Mg II 279,6 and 280,3 nm recorded immediately after the laser pulse action, lines of Na I 589,0 and 589,6 nm as well as Ca II 393,4 and 396,8 nm are recorded with some delay due to the high intensity of the continuous spectrum. The multiplets of N II and O II with a large value of the energy levels recorded before the multiplets with lower energy levels.

Keywords: laser induced breakdown spectroscopy, nitrogen, oxygen, magnesium, calcium, sodium, continuous spectrum
