Annotation: The paper describes a method of time-frequency analysis and processing of electromagnetic radiation from rocks to determine the parameters of electromagnetic signals generated by the development of destructive processes in the mine facilities. The article describes the criterion for choose of a window function for time-frequency signal conversion, which contains quotient in the amplitudes of the spectral components of a signal and the estimated amount of harmonic interference to the interference only. The resulting characteristic determines the degree of preservation of evidence of signal from noise in the processing of the selected window.
