Abstract: In this article there is an overview of the IEEE 802.16 standard (WiMAX) related to the quality of service (QoS). A simulator for the modelling of WiMAX network's base and subscriber (mobile) stations work is designed and implemented. The article illustrates the test results of QoS algorithms for certain types of service flows.
