Abstract: Article describes use of a method of short-term forecasting for a solution of the problem of identification of failures in local computer networks (LAN). The description of realization of a Holt-Winters method is provided in one of components of developed system of monitoring of a LAN and recommendations about a choice of the factors influencing accuracy of forecasting of failures of system are offered.
