Abstract: The mesoscale inhomogeneities of refractive index on the earth's surface to different landscapes are investigated. When conducting the radio measurements of elevation angle they increase an error in the calculation of correction for the atmospheric refraction. It is proposed to use “SNR” for radiometeorological studies.
